Dear respected Maharajas, Prabhus and Didis,

All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga and all glories to Sri Sri Radha Vinode Bihariji.
We would like to inform you of a very important project: The New Braja Village School located in Badger, CA, USA and submit to you a brief description of our current status and our plans for the future. This project is indeed for the benefit of the whole Vaisnava community world wide, for both present and future generations.
It is our good fortune to be able to serve Srila Gurudeva and the assembly of devotees at large in this capacity of training the future generations of Vaisnavas. We request your blessings in this endeavor.
We began instruction on August 30th and we currently have 19 students at the school. We have 5 classrooms to accommodate 12 grades with a total staff of 6. The students are very engaged with the school day running from 8:30 am – 4pm Monday through Friday. There is also Physical Education daily for 1 hour to keep the children in good health and spirits. Academic Subjects include: Math, Reading, Creative Writing, Geography, Political Science, History, Sociology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Computer, Art, Poetry, Drama, Gardening and much more.
Every day starts with a devotional program of Bhajans and Srimad Bhagavatam class. There is also Hindi class, Mrdanga and devotional instrument instruction and they are also studying, Jaiva Dharma, Mahabharata, Caitanya Caritamrta and Bhagavad Gita.

The teachers have all been exemplary and have created an atmosphere filled with love and motivation. We would happily and enthusiastically recommend this school to any parent searching for a spiritually and academically surcharged environment for their children.”
The facility we have now is filled to capacity however, because of the great interest of devotees from around the world who want to see their children be taught the principles of Bhakti from their childhood so as to establish that foundation in their lives. With Kali Yuga society, such as it is, there is hardly any other refuge for these children anywhere else in the world and this being the ONLY gurukula within our sanga anywhere to date.
That makes this project so vital and Srila Gurudeva has expressed as much, quite clearly at this years Badger Festival. He stated: “Students from around the whole world should come to this school”. Srila Gurudeva also stated that: “education, character and devotion should be high in all respects” and our school staff is attempting to provide this in a nurturing, rural environment away from the chaos of the city.
Since we have reached the point now where we must expand into a larger facility to accommodate Gurudeva’s precious children, we have no choice but to try our best and make that happen. So our humble attempt at this time is to accommodate the increasing number of requests from the worldwide community of devotees to put their children into such a transcendental environment and fulfill that desire of our beloved Gurudeva.
There is a very good opportunity that has now come available, to get such a facility, that would accommodate many more children immediately. This property also has sufficient room for expansion in the near future for new students as well as the staff to teach them. This is a great blessing since there are not that many places available for rent or purchase in the Badger area that would be suitable for our needs, especially for the long term as this place presents.
To bring the New Braja Village School to this next level, we now are requesting the devotees to help with this very important project. We can longer operate as we have done in the past, which has been existing practically on the surrender and sacrifice of the teachers and devotees involved, who have been working all along with insufficient funding, simply trying to serve Gurudeva’s order.
At this years Badger festival June 2005, Srila Gurudeva implored the devotees to come forward at this time and help with this worthy project that is in need of immediate assistance. Srila Gurudeva stated:
“We should have some sympathy and we should help them. So many persons have come forward and they will help…and more I want that others, they should help also. Little by little, but if little, little so many, then it will be like a pond and it will help so much”.
We therefore request your assistance in anyway possible. Some of you may have vital skills or connections that may assist us in the development of this project which Srila Gurudeva said would become “the center of his World Wide Mission”. That means the school will be the center piece for a much larger project that will develop over time. We may need the help of those of you with experience in: Law, Accounting, School Administration, Grant Proposals, Alternative Funding Sources, Getting Corporate Donations (like computers for example) etc. Any skill or resource that you think may help, just contact us and we will let you know what’s needed specifically.
At present, one of the most important ways everyone can help is financially. We have various ways you can contribute to the school and some of them are at no cost to you at all. This is due to programs established by different companies that allows them to help contribute to schools of a members’ own choosing.

MONTHLY PLEDGES - The absolute best method is by pledging monthly which gives the school immediate access to your generous donations.
